We are a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit. NWTP incorporated as a non-profit parent company in 2012.
Our mission:
Northwest Theatre Productions (formerly Maple Valley Theatre Productions and More!) was formed for the education, improvement and development of the continuing growth of the performing arts in the great Maple Valley-Black Diamond community and adjacent King County Area. We are dedicated to both artists and audiences through the vehicle of quality family theatre, performing arts, and film.

Meet Our Directors

Earlene DeLeon
President, NWTP
Earlene is a co-founder of NWTP and has been on the board since its inception. She has been teaching and directing theatre both for young people and adults for the past 30 years. As a public school teacher, she grew an award winning middle level theatre program from a few interested students 25 years ago to a program that involved over 200 students each year. She is now focused on bringing quality theatre into the communities in south King County.

Wally Ridgewell
Vice President, NWTP
Performer, Educator and business man, Wally has been on the Board with Northwest Theatre Productions since 2014. Wally has enjoyed working with youth theatre as a pit musician and watching students grow and gain confidence though acting. Professionally, Wally has performed throughout the Northwest with such greats as trumpeter “Doc” Severinsen and Comedian Pete Barbutti. He is a well respected public school educator and runs a growing home business.

Carrie Sleeper-Bowers
Treasurer, NWTP
Carrie is a co-founder of Northwest Theatre Productions and has been on the booard since its inception. She is a seasoned actor with experience in local theatres. Carrie has been the primary producer of most Emerald Theatre productions.
Julie Redl, Secretary, NWTP
Julie (not pictured) joined Northwest Theatre Productions board in 2024. She is active as an local actor with Emerald Theatre and Maple Valley Creative Arts Council, of which she is a member. In addition to her secretarial duties, she is also the resident Social Media Coordinator.

Sandra (Sam) Marx
Board Member, NWTP
Sam Marx, Graphic Designer — Sam is a founding Board of Directors member of Emerald Theatre and has shaped the company’s visual identity since its inception by designing posters, programs, and marketing materials. In addition to her graphic design work, she has appeared in Emerald Theatre productions, co-taught the Emerald Theatre Summer Drama Youth Camps, and supports each show through graphics, props, sets, and show management. Outside the theatre, Sam enjoys creating cosplay costumes for Comic-Con & RenFaires and runs her own handmade décor business, Hey! I Made That! www. heyimadethat.com

Anthony DeLeon Board Member
Anthony is a local actor, singer, dancer and studied Musical Theatre at Central Washington University, graduating with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. He has competed in performing competitions and attended numerous theatre workshops and seminars with industry masters on both coasts. He has performed in numerous plays, musicals and improv sketch comedies throughout the Pacific Northwest. In his spare time, he coaches young local performers to help them start their careers.
Amy Silveria
Board Member
Amy (not pictured) is a professional theatre tech and has worked with many theatres to provide lighting, sound, and general technical support.

Gabriela (not pictured) has been working with costuming and youth for the past 15 years.
