End of the Summer Drama Camp

Camp is open to youth 11-15 years old

 or entering grades 6-9 in the fall.

**Dates changed due to school start dates.

A fun-filled 2 weeks of theatre education and being in a non-musical play for youth entering 6-9th grade.  No stage experience needed - it's a camp for kids who love to act. In this two-week camp, campers will play drama games, learn acting techniques. Campers will rehearse the play, "Totally Red," each day and then perform for friends and family on the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council stage on Saturday evening. ​

Full Tuition       per camper    $350.00

Multi-Sibling Discount Tuition

Our Summer Staff

Ms. Earlene DeLeon

​Managing and Artistic Director for Emerald Theatre, and one of its co-founders.  Ms. DeLeon has taught and directed theatre to middle school youth for the past 40 years.  She directed last year's camp play, Beauty and the Beast Guy and is excited to be part of this summer's camp.  She is not only working with this camp, but also directing the main stage play this summer, The Importance of Being Earnest, in our Outdoor Summer Theatre series.  ​​​

Ms. Sam Marx

Ms. Marx is the Arts and Crafts Director for our summer camps and is excited to be back again this year.  Ms. Marx worked for many years with youth teaching art.  She will walk campers through the art of making props and set pieces for plays and give our campers an experience of being on the Technical Staff of a play.  Ms. Marx also co-founded Emerald Theatre and currently is the Marketing Director for the theatre.

Mr. Anden J. Leo

Mr. Anden is excited to join our staff as Camp Drama Instructor and Director of our one-act play, "Totally Red!"  Mr. Anden has worked with students in Middle and High School as a choreographer, music director and assistant director.  In addition, he is a working actor and has most recently been in Grease at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, A Comedy of Errors at Emerald Theatre; Urinetown, and Pride and Prejudice at Bainbridge Performing Arts; and Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast, and Smoky Joe's Cafe at Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre.
