Fall 2021
So many theatres are starting to open up and audiences are getting back to live entertainment! This is thrilling not only for audiences, but for actors and crew as well! Emerald Theatre is in its planning stages to open up next summer with outdoor theatre in both Lake Wilderness Arboretum and also at Soos Creek Botanical Gardens, two beautiful outdoor spaces we have in our local communities. We will be putting up a Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, for families at both sites. Keep watching for updates and more specifics as we come into the spring. We are also working on a virtual play festival for playwrights who are emerging, as well as any playwright who would like their work looked at . More details on that soon. Feel free to inquire at info@emeraldtheatre.org for more information on submitting text. We are coming through the tunnel, and although life may not be exactly the same as it was before March 2020, so many new and exciting things are happening! Hope to see you soon!

Spring 2021
It's 2021 and the pandemic still keeps theatres closed. With summer quickly arriving, we all hope things will start changing. Maybe an outdoor event for Emerald Theatre. Keep fingers crossed and keep an eye on what we come up with in the coming months. In the meantime, great creative things happening in film.

A Christmas Carol
Emerald Theatre is currently producing our first online production. Finding a way to produce this show was both challenging and exciting. We originally thought of performing live on Zoom but decided to work with our actors to create a filmed and edited version of the play. Actors work in their own homes as they create the beloved story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who has lost his way in the world. Visits by his dead partner and three ghosts help him with his journey back to humanity. Re-imagined with a primarily female cast with actors playing multiple part, the show is performed in less than an hour. This production is sure to entertain young and old alike.
